Pastor Lyons was led to faith in Jesus Christ in his early 20's,
while working as a produce manager for Publix Supermarkets.
Right away he began searching the Scriptures to get to know His
Savior and the more he discovered, the more he wanted to know.
So he entered Bible College soon afterward and while completeing his Bachelors
in Accounting he also completed a Diploma Degree in a Bible Course which
was specially designed for those already holding a secular Degree.
Bible Diploma from Miami Christian College in Miami, Florida.

Pastor Lyons' passion, was and is to teach and preach the Word of God.
The Lord has given him a variety of opportunities over his years of ministry
to do that including:
Street Evangelism and Rescue Mission Services
Preaching Seminars in Haiti and the UK
Preaching in a Local Spanish Church,
Pastor Lyons also used his secular talents in the Lord's service by traveling
to Haiti and the Dominican Repubic to do taxes for Missionaries and he
and his wife housed Missionaries traveling in and out of the US.
His heart for Missions and Evangelism is evidenced in the establishment
of Grapeland Heights Ministries Inc, which is an independent organization,
designed to support the missionaries commited to by Grapeland Heights Baptist
Church for many years past the existence of the church body itself, as
well as expanding into support of new ministries.
Pastor Lyons is currently teaching in a local Bible study which is freely
open to everyone.
